Mayana Peak, San Carlos: Day-hike from Bacolod (easy trail)

It’s been a while since I last blogged being busy with work and my studies. However, this recent trip we had is worth to share especially to those who love easy hiking and people who happen to be in Bacolod City and just like me, looking for a break by doing some adventure that could be done in 1 day.
Mayana Peak, located at Sitio Puno, is a perfect place for time-constrained travelers or even for some weary locals who would like to take a break from the buzzing city and find serenity with nature. Coming from Bacolod City (Capital, Negros Province), it is approximately two hours by bus via
Don Salvador

Getting there:

What's there in Negros Island: Don Salvador Benedicto

Rice terraces, rich forest, marvelous view of mountains, and the fresh scent of pine are some of the reasons why this quaint town of Don Salvador Benedicto was dubbed "Little Baguio" of Negros. The Eco-tourism highway of Negros Occidental successfully played its part in revealing the beauty of nature that will surely feed your wanderlust while on the road. Should you be in a group, try renting a car/van so you'll have the luxury of stopping at picturesque places along your way. Moreover, if you think that chocolate hills are only found in bohol then think again, because you can also find them here on your way further to San Carlos City.
Don Salvador Benedicto is an hour away from Bacolod City heading toward the center of Negros, facing the north side of Mt. Kanlaon. This scenic town is a perfect weekend getaway to unwind from the hectic city life. Also, If you're visiting Bacolod for a couple of days and would like to spice up your journey with some nature escapade, a day-tour at Don Salvador Benedicto is very feasible.

Top attractions in CDO and Camiguin you should not miss!

Planning to have a weekend adventure? Consider CDO-Camiguin for your itinerary!
Cagayan de Oro (CDO) is one of the major cities in northern mindanao. Highly urbanized and strategically located near Bukidnon and Camiguin.
Camiguin on the hand, is a Island of paradise, born of fire as they say, but technically because the island is made up of seven volcanoes! Majestic as it may seem but History had witness both beauty and horror of what it is to be an Island composed of these mighty volcanoes.
Coming from manila, you'll have an hour and a half flight directly to CDO. The airport is a bit far from the city (1 hour) but don't worry if you haven't made some carpool arrangements, you can ride a tourist-van outside the airport to bring you to the city. One-way fare will cost you around 200 PHP per pax.

Backpacking Boracay

One of our most spontaneous trip for this year is our trip to Boracay; an overnight plan! It was a long weekend and we were contemplating on where to practically spend the holidays without sacrificing the fun! - And what could be more fun than spending the weekend and experiencing Halloween in Boracay?

Sugar Beach

Sugar beach in Sipalay, Negros Occidental is a 3-4 hours drive from Bacolod City and 6 hours by Bus. A charming destination where one may find it tranquil and relaxing more than other mainstream beaches in the Philippines. It is not congested with tourist and you'll even find less on weekdays contributing more to its "unspoiled" charm. Likewise, it can compete with other beaches for its fine white sands and mouth-watering cuisines.
In order to get here, one may take a Bus from Bacolod City South Terminal heading towards Hinobaan. Tell the conductor you are heading to sugar beach and have to alight at Gil Montilla Public Market. This is where you'll ride a Motorcycle/Tricycle to bring you at the dock. The famous landmarks for you to look out are the Government Center of Sipalay and Gil Montilla National High School.

Mag-Aso and Sipalay for 2D1N (2,000 PHP)

2 of the most beautiful destination Negros Island has to offer is the enchanting Mag-Aso falls of Kabankalan and the serene white sand beach of Sipalay!
In this article I'll share to you how we explored these two must-go destinations in Negros with only 2,000 pesos in our pocket!

Both are located south of Negros Occidental. Coming from Bacolod City, one may commute by Bus at Bacolod Ceres-South Bus Terminal for 2-3 hours to each destinations. You may opt to take an ordinary bus which is cheaper or an air-conditioned bus with some premium on the cost.

La Union

STOKE! at La Union
Suddenly I felt like a real surfer - seeing those huge waves, learning suffering jargon, and riding a surfboard for the first time! haha of course, there's a quite number of fails before I caught my first wave; I'm not even close to a rookie! LOL But! The feeling of riding those waves is so rewarding to the soul, especially if you've been dreaming of it since the first time you saw it on TV or any media.

Bacolod MassKara!

MassKara festival comes to life during the downfall of the sugar industry in the province. Now it stands to be a symbol of the Bacolodnon's optimistic spirit and a reminder that every smile is very contagious to uplift the spirit.

Mount Pulag
Located at Kabayan, Benguet, Mount Pulag is known to be the Highest mountain in Luzon and Third Highest All-over the Philippines, standing proud at 2,992 Meters above Sea Level. Tales in Singapore

August 7, 2015

Happy 50th Birthday Singapore! One of the great countries in Asia, A first world country, and a very well-esteemed economy! Singapore has really outdone itself and placed an impeccable name in world history. Living here for 2 years and being a part of this country even for a short period of time is truly an honor and a grateful experience. So  as a tribute, the following readings on this page will be all about Singapore, Experiences, and learning I had in the country.

Breathtaking Ilocos Norte

Bangui Wind Farm
One of the most memorable travels I had in the Philippines is my trip to Ilocos Norte. At the tip of North Luzon, We've just landed our feet at the very forehead of the head-shaped Island of the Phlippines!
Aside from being the domicile and Birthplace to the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos, Ilocos Norte is a true gem of the north for its captivating  and awe-inspiring Landscapes, Scenery, and World-class tourist attractions! - There is just so many things you can do in this province! may you be a conventional tourist, adventurer, or a nature enthusiast!

Macau, Vegas of Asia

A former colony of Portugal, Macau/Macao is one of the earliest European colony in Asian where you can find Influences of European architecture and culture that is well preserved until today.
Coming from Hong Kong, Macau is an hour and a half boat ride from Hong Kong Ferry Terminal near Tsim Sha Tsui.  Ferry ride would cost about 330 HKD back and forth.

Bucari Pine Tree Forest

BUCARI, LEON
Bucari Pine Forest is a campsite located at Sitio Tabionan, Leon, Panay Island. Unlike Baguio that's pretty congested with tourist, Bucari is the Best alternative for Nature Enthusiats!
Unspoiled, peaceful, and relaxing are only few words to describe this place. It is a cool escape from the city and for you to witness the magnificence of nature from a birds-eye view. Trekking to the top might be exhausting but it is all worth it!

Chiang Mai, The Rose of the North

A capital city in Northern Thailand but has that provincial vibe making the City very attractive and cozy.
Thai culture is very evident in this beautiful City! There are even tours available for you to visit ancient tribes that inhibit the lands until today. What amazes me the most here is the bond that people share with the elephants which distinctively imaged Thailand from other Asian countries.

Bangkok, Midyear-cation!

Bangkok
- The backpackers hub of asia -

Glorious temples celebrating the rich history of Asia and the contribution of the people of Thailand to civilization is the very image of Bangkok. Aside from being the capital city of thailand, it is the center of cultural heritage and entertainment that continuously attracts tourist all over the world!

Marvelous Monuments, awe-inspiring temples, vast options in entertainment and recreation, and not to mention their remarkable cuisines are just some of the reasons why you'll easily fall in love with the city!
